ANA/Lady Ejiro Umukoro Endownment Fund Supports Literary Grios with Prestigious Award

Abuja, Nigeria – The Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) has announced the ANA Poetry Slam 2025, featuring a special category, the ANA/Lady Ejiro Umukoro Emerging Poet Award. This prestigious award is an endowment fund provided by Lady Ejiro Umukoro, Founder and CEO of LightRay! Media, in support of emerging Nigerian poets.
The ANA/Lady Ejiro Umukoro Emerging Poet Award carries a N100,000 cash prize and a certificate of award, and is designed to recognize and celebrate outstanding emerging Griots in Nigeria. The award is a testament to Lady Umukoro’s commitment to promoting literary excellence and nurturing emerging literary talents across Nigeria’s creative economy.

The ANA Poetry Slam 2025, scheduled to take place on Saturday, 1st November 2025, at the Mamman Vatsa Writers’ Village, Mpape Rd, Abuja, promises to be an electrifying celebration of Nigerian literature.
