After the recitation of the National Anthem, the opening prayer and the recitation of the National pledge, the Speaker approved the second votes and proceedings of Wednesday, July 31st, 2024

- Communication From Mr. President:
Submission of 2024 Federal Capital Territory Authority (FCTA) supplementary budget proposals for the consideration and approval by the House of Representatives. This is in line with the Appropriations Act and will ensure smooth governance of the FCTA. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu expressed optimism that the House will extend the usual cooperation and support for such critical matters. - From the Clerk of the House of Representatives:
Honorable Members are informed of the formal inauguration of the Public Complainants Commission on Wednesday, September 25th, 2024 by 2:00PM at Hearing Room 231, second floor of the Senate New building. Honorable Members are also to note that the Senate/House joint committee investigating the NNPC will hold a sitting immediately after the inauguration at the same venue. - The Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen on a sad note announced the death of Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, of Anambra South Senatorial District. The sad event occurred on Saturday, July 27th, 2024 in London, allegedly of a cardiac arrest. He was 52 years old.

The House at 11:26 AM adjourned plenary to Wednesday, September 25th, 2024 by 11:00 A.M following a motion for adjournment moved by the Leader of the House, Hon. Julius Ihonbvere and seconded by the Minority Leader, Hon. Kingsley Chinda.
