Iremide Ogunyemi, Ambassador’s College, Student Wins Fidelity Bank’s N6M Read2Lead Writing Competition

Lagos – In a remarkable display of literary prowess, Miss Iremide Ogunyemi, a student of The Ambassadors’ College, Ota, Ogun State, has emerged the star prize winner of the inaugural Fidelity Bank-organised Read2Lead writing competition.
At the prize presentation ceremony held in Lagos recently, Iremide took home a whopping N2 million cash prize, a publishing deal worth N2 million, and an additional N2 million to upgrade her school’s library.
The Read2Lead competition, an initiative of Fidelity Bank Plc, aims to promote reading and writing among Nigerian students, while encouraging critical thinking and creativity.
Representing Fidelity Bank’s Managing Director, Dr. Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe, OON, Executive Director, South Directorate, Mrs. Pamela Shodipo, commended the participants and emphasized the bank’s commitment to supporting education and youth development.
“This competition is part of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives aimed at promoting literacy and educational development among Nigerian youths,” Shodipo said.
Iremide’s victory is a testament to the exceptional talent and dedication of Nigerian students. Her winning entry demonstrated outstanding writing skills, creativity, and a deep understanding of the competition’s theme.
