Cheron Griffin Launches Wild Horse TV, Expands Franchise in Africa
. . . Signs deals with filmmakers in Nigeria, Uganda, South Africa

Entrepreneur, producer, author, and media executive Cheron K. Griffin has officially launched Wild Horse TV, an independent streaming platform built to give creators greater ownership, global distribution, and direct audience engagement.
The launch coincides with Griffin’s expansion of her Preachers’ Exes franchise into Nigeria, Uganda, and South Africa. She has also secured content partnerships with filmmakers in Nigeria and Uganda as part of a mission to bridge African and Diaspora storytelling through independent media.
What began as a controversial concept in 2013 has evolved into an international franchise, a growing media company, and a movement centered on ownership, representation, and authentic storytelling.
After 13 years developing Preachers’ Exes, Griffin launched Wild Horse TV to solve a core problem: creators losing ownership through traditional distribution channels.
“For too long, creators have been told they must sacrifice ownership in exchange for opportunity,” Griffin said. “Wild Horse TV was built to challenge that model. We’re creating a platform where creators can own their work, reach global audiences, and build sustainable revenue while telling stories that matter.”
One of the platform’s first acquisitions is Tenants of the House, the film adaptation of Nigerian author Wale Okediran’s award-winning novel, directed by Kunle Afolayan. After its commissioned run on Netflix, the film is set for wider global reach through Wild Horse TV.
The platform debuts with Preachers’ Exes of Houston, the first season of the franchise on the network. Episode 1 is free worldwide. The full 6-episode season is available for $4.99.
“Preachers’ Exes was never simply about relationships,” Griffin explained. “At its core, it’s about healing, reclaiming your voice, and finding the courage to rewrite your story. Expanding into Africa lets us continue these conversations globally while creating collaboration opportunities for Diaspora creators.”
Wild Horse TV is actively acquiring films, series, documentaries, and originals from filmmakers across Africa and the global Diaspora. An official mobile app is also in development to expand access.
“Our goal is bigger than a streaming platform,” Griffin said. “We’re building a global home for storytellers. Whether they’re in Houston, Lagos, Kampala, Johannesburg, London, or Atlanta, we want creators to know their stories matter.”
