Her insatiable thirst for knowledge and growth led her to the United States, where she earned a master’s degree in Journalism and later a PhD in Communications and Political Science from New York University.

As she returned to Nigeria, Dr. Abiola’s career trajectory soared. She joined the Daily Times, working alongside esteemed editors who recognized her talent and dedication. Her star continued to rise as she became the pioneer daily editor at the National Concord, and eventually, its Managing Director/Editor-in-Chief in 1986.
